5 tips for boosting your immune system through these winter months

With more cold spells on the way this week, we are smack bang in the middle of peak cold and flu season. What can you do to help your immune system fight off those nasty bugs?

Truth is, there's no one guaranteed way to avoid ever getting sick, BUT there are many things you can do to help boost your body's natural defences. Here are the top 5 simple ways to help your immune system:

(1) A healthy & balanced diet

Strive for a varied diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and keeping it low in sugar and saturated fat can help support a healthy immune system.

(2) Regular exercise
