We find ourselves in the most surreal and worrying of times. Here in the UK there are many people suffering, not just due to the reality or the threat of ill health, but also financially and socially. We are all witnessing local and national businesses being forced to close their doors. Many households are already, or will soon, find themselves struggling to make ends meet. And the social distancing and self-isolation measures that we are all taking means many vulnerable people out there cant see their nearest & dearest.

We want to help ... and here’s how you can too! 

For the next three months, we pledge to donate £2 from every TURMERIC[blend] order we receive to The National Emergencies Trust, to provide support to those most in need during these unprecedented times.

The National Emergencies Trust was established last year to respond to UK emergencies as a domestic version of the Disasters Emergency Committee. It has launched an appeal in partnership with the British Red Cross and has been backed by the Duke of Cambridge, to raise and distribute funds “to support communities made most vulnerable by the coronavirus outbreak”. 

The Duke of Cambridge said in a video message that he “dreaded the day when the trust would be needed” but said “Sadly, with the outbreak of Covid-19, that day has come faster than any of us would have hoped.” He said the NET would ensure that support reached people across the UK who needed it most as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
