Men’s Health Spotlight: How to Support the Prostate Naturally

Men’s Health Spotlight: How to Support the Prostate Naturally

This week is Men’s Health Week and it’s the perfect time to shine a light on something often overlooked: prostate health.

Let’s face it, the word “prostate” isn’t exactly top of the list when it comes to dinner table conversation. But if you’ve got one (and if you're a man, you do), it’s worth knowing what it actually does ... and what you can do to look after it.

So... What Is the Prostate, Anyway?

The prostate is a small gland, about the size of a walnut, that sits just below the bladder. It helps make some of the fluid in semen. As men get older, the prostate can sometimes grow - and while that’s pretty normal, it can cause annoying symptoms like needing to pee more often (especially at night), a weaker stream, or feeling like you never quite finish.

That condition is called BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia), and while it’s not cancer, it can affect quality of life. Speaking of which…

Should You Be Checking on It?

Yes. While most changes to the prostate are benign, it's smart to keep an eye on things. Regular check-ups, especially from age 50+, are a good shout - or earlier if prostate cancer runs in the family.

Now, onto the good news: there’s plenty you can do to support prostate health naturally.

Supplements for Prostate Support

While nothing replaces medical advice, some natural ingredients have shown promise when it comes to keeping your prostate in good shape. Here are a few worth knowing about:

1. Curcumin (from Turmeric)

Curcumin is the active compound in turmeric - and it’s famous for its anti-inflammatory powers. Chronic inflammation has been linked to prostate issues, so reducing inflammation may help keep things calm.

👉 TURMERIC [blend] contains a high-potency curcumin extract (95%) plus black pepper and MCTs to help with absorption ... it’s more than just your average turmeric.

2. Zinc

This mighty mineral is highly concentrated in the prostate and plays a role in hormone balance and tissue health.

💡 You’ll find zinc in our IMMUNE [blend], which supports immune health and delivers a decent daily dose of zinc.

3. Saw Palmetto

Often found in men's health supplements, saw palmetto is traditionally used to support urinary flow and ease symptoms of BPH. While it's not in your current range, it could be something to consider in the future. Hmmm, what do you think? Should we develop a male-focused blend ?

4. Lycopene

This antioxidant (found in tomatoes!) has been linked to prostate health and reduced cancer risk. Again, not currently in your range — but a good one to include in the wider lifestyle chat.

Lifestyle Counts Too

Some simple daily habits go a long way too:

  • Eat more colourful fruit and veg (think: rainbow on your plate)

  • Cut back on processed meat and fried foods

  • Stay active (even a brisk walk counts)

  • Stay hydrated — your bladder will thank you too

Bottom Line (no pun intended)

Taking care of your prostate doesn't have to be scary, awkward, or complicated. With the right mix of nutrients, lifestyle tweaks, and a bit of awareness, you can give your prostate the support it needs to keep you feeling good long-term.

And if you're looking to start somewhere simple?
Try adding a daily spoon of TURMERIC [blend]+ to your routine .... or if that doesn't tickle your fancy, reach for the capsules . In either form, it's an anti-inflammatory powerhouse ... and your prostate might just thank you for it.
